Autumn Leaves and Hallow’s Eve, An October Sensory Story

What an incredible month we had in October! Our lovely friends from Om Sabor, a local catering dynamic duo, came to teach us a cooking class. The children were able to build their own veggie tacos using fresh organic ingredients. They learned about making rice and what avocados look and taste like, among many other fun and exciting cooking tips. All ages from two to five years participated and had a blast. Please follow the link for more information and where to eat this delicious food!

In the spirit of dressing up in costume and celebrating the lovely fall season, we hosted our first annual Hallow’s Eve ball on campus. We brought the pumpkin patch into our very own play yard complete with haystacks, pumpkins, scarecrows, face painting, a jumper house and more! The children spent that morning baking apple pies from scratch for their families to enjoy at the party. Everyone looked amazing in their costumes and we are so thankful for a wonderful turnout. It was a magical afternoon. We definitely plan to keep up with this new tradition.

I want to thank all of our wonderful families, my amazing staff, and of course the star of our daily show, the children at our center. I am beyond blessed to be able to spend my days learning more from these little ones than I could ever teach them myself. I look forward to many more events and special moments throughout this year with these incredible little people! Visit us on Instagram @earlybirdpreschool for stories and more daily shenanigans.
